In December 2009 Lund South completed an extensive alteration to the Cardiology Catheter operating theatre in Dunedin Public Hospital. This project was successfully handed over to the Health board 14 weeks after construction started, in time for scheduled operations.
Being a medical operating theatre, the project had unique requirements including working in an operational hospital, dust proofing, building to tight tolerances, X-ray protection building systems, fire rating and heavy alterations for several services trades including gas, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and data. Furthermore we also kept in constant communication with the separate contractor Siemens who were responsible for the installation of all the operating equipment.
Lunds made client satisfaction and patient safety a priority throughout the project. The successful completion of this project was achieved through excellent communication and client understanding.
