This complex project encompassed the complete restoration of the 1902 Gothic Revival style Dunedin Courts Building of approximately 2600m2 including the construction of the new four storied courts building immediately adjacent.
The major achievements on this project included underpinning and earthquake strengthening the heritage building, including reinstatement to original exterior and interior finishes. All works were undertaken directly by Lund staff.
Earthquake strengthening on a building of this nature unveiled many unknown factors and Lunds were instrumental in providing cost effective and workable solutions that allowed the courts building to re-open in a tight timeframe.
